Project Manager: Manage structural engineering projects, including cost planning, engineering, scheduling, supervision, and management of personnel. Review and approve preliminary schedules and budgets to ensure that the project meets financial and budgeting requirements. Draft project proposals and scopes of work and distribute initial specifications to engineers and construction staff. Lead the preparation of project documentation, such as engineering specifications, design drawings, and project schedules. Analyze engineering drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and design specifications with Architects and other engineering personnel for possible site, safety, and development problems prior to approval. Coordinate site delivery logistics such as engineering and materials with contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, consultants, and other stakeholders. Evaluate materials, structural analysis, and mathematical computations for each building structure associated with the project. Review building issues that arise throughout the project and modify blueprints for the building as necessary. Alter designs as needed to account for areas of tension and potential weak structural points. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends as noted by engineering staff. Ensure that the project schedule is followed and updated regularly with sufficient detail. Correspond with local inspectors and plan checkers to receive all the required city approvals throughout the projects. Establish and build clear communication and relationships with clients, owner’s representatives, architects, and vendors. Coordinate weekly and monthly development activities of internal and external resources. Review status reports and lead meetings with contractors and engineers. Support the investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs. Maintain safe and clean working environments by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Will supervise two (2) Project Engineers.

Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation. This may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the offered position or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in ETABS by CSI, Bentley Products including RAM Concept, RAM Structural System, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Enercalc Analysis Tool, Risa 3-D Analysis, AUTODESK REVIT, and AUTOCAD Software. The position requires Incidental Travel – 1% of the time, not more than several days a few times a year throughout Southern California.

Working Hours: 40 hours/week

Salary: $121,805.00 per year
