Atlas at Carlsbad
HTK was the SEOR for the first $15 million phase of the renovations at Atlas at Carlsbad. We provided Structural Engineering service to separate the 90,000sf two-story office structure from the 140,000sf main warehouse building section with a new paseo walkway area in between the two structures.
Structural service included a seismic retrofit of the lateral force resisting system of both building systems for the removal of the diaphragm, along with beam bracing, and inclusion of new moment frames. We also provided structural design services for numerous landscape features with the new paseo walkway area, and the inclusion of shade sails to the existing steel frames.
