Awards: Orchids & Onions

HTK is proud to have been part of the team by providing the structural engineering portion of the 4 projects pictured above. Crest Urban Apartments, Moonlight Beach Marine Safety Center, and the Exotic Gardens Multi-Family Residence, that are each nominated for the San Diego Architectural Foundation ‘2018 Orchids & Onions Awards’ in the Architecture category. In addition to the structural design of the Atlas Office Campus building, we also performed structural design of the landscape features which are nominated in the Landscape category.

Orchids & Onions is an educational and fundraising program of the San Diego Architectural Foundation, a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and the promotion of outstanding architecture, planning and urban design throughout the San Diego region.

Each year, a jury of design professionals and artists is selected to determine the official Orchids & Onions based upon public submissions in categories that include: architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, historic preservation, and miscellaneous.
