Remodel Commencing: Barrel Republic

An existing one-story structure in Escondido of unreinforced masonry construction was structurally retrofitted, and extended, along with the demolition and replacement construction. Construction for the main building included new masonry shearwalls, and steel strongback reinforcing of the existing URM walls, and roof diaphragm and wall attachment structural retrofits.
